screams for beauty

yet wind still fingers the canopy of trees

crows still murder and mock

flies still lay their eggs in the possums corpse

the rain lily still shows it’s wondrous burgundy heart 

only for a teasing glance

and is gone

and on this glorious morning

i watch the world devour itself

with that open mouth

ripe with violence

screaming for a beauty

beyond all understanding

Well it has been over a decade since i posted on this blog. I recently dug it up and dusted it off from it's resting place in the void and felt there were some things in here worth sharing again and also to create a little incentive for me to pick it up once more as a kind of respite from sharing on the social platforms. If I am speaking into the void I prefer it to be one of my own choosing and one where no ads are seen or sold and no algorithms accompany me. Let's see what develops shall we? NH

I had the privilege of being asked by Keri Kropp, to design the latest window display for Schreiner Goods,located in Kerrville,Texas. I was given pretty much full creative license with fall being the theme and i had a really fun time putting it all together. Thanks to Keri and all at Goods for the opportunity.
